A community can only exist with a good business sector and conversely a good business sector can only exist with the support of the community. 

In recognition of this valuable relationship the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce and the City of Barrie created a business awards program to honour local businesses for their contributions to the community. 

The Bell Canada Business Awards Gala is a prestigious event held annually since 2003 to pay tribute to the businesses they feel have excelled in their fields.
